Have any of you tried it? Not gonna lie, posted this to jolt the comm and because I'm seriously considering it.

Have some resources I'm reading at the moment. I'm mostly concerned about what color it will give me and if I'll like it...my grandma always liked my black hair, but I always felt tricked that I didn't get it between a redheaded dad and a mom with brown hair!

i use it. i started w/ henna from hennaforhair.com and then i got tired of spending $$ and picked up boxed jamila at the local arab grocery.

for me it will really just give strong red highlights but i think it does make my hair stronger.

i think its important to be careful what you put in your mix, i think straight lemon juice is a mistake for black folks hair, I use different kinds of tea with maybe some lemon or orange juice mixed in.

be prepared to spend forever rinsing, rinsing, and rinsing some more.

This is really informative! I'm super concerned about something that has the potential to change my hair so much, but I'm kinda excited as well.

Depending on what your hair looks like, it really might not change it a lot.

I've been curious about henna, too. My hair is a rusty black with strong red undertones, and I'm not entirely sure just how red my hair's going to turn. It goes burgundy in sunlight, and I don't want to end up with purple hair or something (not that it wouldn't be cool).

Hmmm...

you can always mix up just a little henna and do a strand test.

That's a very good point. Thanks.
